Every Sunday there is a Holy Communion Service at 8.00am. On the first, third and fifth Sundays we celebrate Communion using the Book of Common Prayer (often referred to as the 1662 version). On the second and fourth Sunday we use the Liturgy from the New Zealand Prayer Book, this is a more traditional Anglican service.
Every Sunday we hold a service of Praise and Worship at 9.30am. This service includes modern worship, prayer, readings and teachings concluding with Holy Communion; the service also provides opportunity for personal testimony. The 9.30am service varies in content and style from the 8.00am service as it is less formal while still following Anglican Liturgy. This service is followed by morning tea and a time of fellowship in the Hall.
Every Wednesday at 10.00am there is a service of Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer. This service is kept short, about 30 - 40 minutes, and is ideal for older folk who find the longer service difficult to sit through. This service is followed by a time of fellowship over morning tea.
You can enter our creche facilities from the inside of the church or from outside the church. Inside the creche you are able to hear and see what is happening within the church. The creche is sound proofed in that those in the church cannot hear what is happening in the creche but those within the creche can hear what is being said/sung in the church. Please ask one of our Welcoming Team or one of our Parishioners to show you this facility.
There is also seating at the back right of the church that provides space for children and parents, with exit from the church easily accessible.
Baptisms and Child Blessings
We offer both infant/young child and adult baptism to those who are committed to Christ; alternatively a service of blessing is offered. Prior to baptism, preparation classes are held. Our Baptismal Policy is available from the Vicar or the Parish Office.
Confirmation is available for those who wish to publicly accept their baptismal vows with the laying on of hands by the Bishop. Confirmation classes and services are held annually. You may obtain further details from the Vicar.
